- Real Recipes from Real People -

Dear Gladys, You are so welcome!

Misc.
I love sharing recipes and little tid bits I've picked up just by experimenting with new dishes. Yes, we do have monkfish and like it very much and indeeed we are close to Seattle. We live in NE Tacoma. (aprox. 30 min, from Seattle) We found a new home in a lovely subdivision that was 10 min. from DH's office and it worked great also because of the school district. We have a view of Mt. Ranier which is breath taking and the bay is just below us. We love to go to Pike Place Market in Seattle. (Home of the flying fish) There is every fresh fish, fruit, vegetable, & flower stand imaginable there, although that is just the tip of the iceberg. There are 100's of shops and restaurants. They all represent many different cultures so you can find anything you would need for cooking any dish. Your ears must have been burning last night. I was telling DH about your post and how vivid and descriptive they were and your island and life. I have spent more time just reading through old threads trying to catch everything you and Gina have shared with us. I told him as I read the tremendous stories you told I felt I was right there with you enjoying every glorious moment. Now that we are settled in for the most part I really need to get a lot my recipes in the computer so I can post them more quickly. I mentioned earlier at this time I am using my son's computer and although under favorites he was kind enough to put mom's cooking, TKL is the only thing listed. We had a picture of the Seared tuna that we tried to post with the recipe and could not make it work. I know it can be done but how? Maybe if I send it to Betsy she can slide it in under the recipe. I would love to have some monkfish recipes so post away girlfriend! I really look foward to sharing and learning more from you! Thank you for the sweet comments but I am the lucky one to be back part of such a wonderful circle of friends.
