I have actually been to Savannah. For several years, DH, the girls and I vacationed on Hilton Head Island which is a "stone's throw" from Savannah. It's a lovely city. I sure hope to get back to both Hilton Head and Savannah so we can try Paula Deen's restaurant.
As for the Brown Bread, and hot dogs... Sometimes DH and I have hot dogs, Boston Brown Bread, Baked Beans and cole slaw for supper (I guess I don't exactly consider it dinner.) I use B & M baked beans, too. Last March, I posted my "doctored" recipe. Here it is:
QUICK AND EASY BOSTON BAKED BEANS
1 can (I think 22 to 24 oz. size, not the 16 oz. size - next size larger) B & M brand baked beans) 1 to 1 1/2 Tbl. brown sugar, packed 2 to 3 Tbsp. finely chopped onion 1 to 2 tsp. prepared yellow mustard such as French's 2 slices bacon, halved and cooked halfway through in the microwzve, if desired(optional)
Mix beans, brown sugar, onion, and mustard well. Pour into a baking dish (1 1/2 qt. pyrex dish, I think ?). Top with halved slices of partially cooked bacon, if desired.
Bake for 45 minutes at 325-350 degrees F. Let sit for 5 minutes before serving. This gives the sauce a chance to cool and thicken a bit before serving.
Serve with, hotdogs, Boston Brown Bread and cole slaw. This is a good lunch or not fsncy supper.
