I have succesfully frozen asparagus and it is VERY good to do as fast as you get it home if it is fresh from the field it is EXTRA yummy! one yr. I only cut maybe a 1/4 inch off the bottom they were that good -- stem to stern--never forget those ... yum! I only blach till the colr turns bright not ver lon at all then submerge in cold water to stop cooking process did the above recipe say that?? maybe
enjoy, freeze some cheese sauce to go with in ice cube trays ... oh I want some, now!
