I've also used this recipe using condensed tomato soup with good results. You can add additional canned tomatoes and oregano to spice it up a bit. If you add three cans of water, you can add one can of uncooked rice and cook, covered for about 45 minutes. Stir occasionally and add water if necessary. Make sure you have room in your pan - the rice will expand!
Another variation on a theme: Brown boneless chicken breast pieces and use cream of chicken, or cream of chicken with brocolli soup and a little grated cheddar sprinkled on top right before you serve, or chicken and mushroom soup. Good over wide noodles as well. |
