Debbie recipe as promised on TKL chat I looked up my file I first posted this in Sep 1998!!!!!Hope you enjoy itCHICKEN STROGANOFF
Sunflower oil for sauting 1 large onion chopped 2 cloves garlic crushed 2 tsp mustard seeds(brown) 1 lb chicken fillets cut into strips 1/2 lb button mushrooms,sliced 2 Tbls wholegrain mustard 1 tsp mustard powder 2 Tbls brandy 1/2 cup chicken stock 1/3 cup cream salt and ground pepper
Serves 4 so double up if needed
Saute onion and garlic gently in heated oil till glossy.Add mustard seeds and cook till they begin to pop!,then add chicken and toss to sear.Add mushrooms and stirfry for 1 min.Stir in wholegrain mustard,mustard powder and brandy.Add stock and simmer for 4-5 mins.Add cream and heat through(don,t boil).Season to taste.
