Recipe(tried): New England Chop Suey.....

Misc.
Hello Friends,

The other night while I was in the Chat Room I met Marie from Maine, what a delight it was! From her I got this recipe which is a dish only found in the New England area. I was explaining to her that during a trip to Massachussets I had entered a shop and the aroma that greeted me at the door was...well, you had to be there, it was delicious! I asked the shop owner what as she eating. She replied "Chop Suey". Of course, I immediately thought of the chinese chop suey but it did not look like that, her plate had a concoction of ziti, tomatoes, sauce, mushrooms, onions, peppers...ooooh the aroma, so tantalizing!

Marie graciously shared her recipe after she divulged to me that they had just had a hankering for it the night before. She told me to serve it alongside a salad and garlic bread, so dear friends, that is the dinner at our house tonight. Thanks Marie!!

Marie's Chop Suey

small green pepper chopped,
one small onion, chopped,

can of mushrooms,
can of stewed tomatoes..with juice an sometimes...more water....,
