My son and I used to like to come home to the bread machine and crock pot baking and cooking away. It was nice to have ready.
I use a round steak, cut into pieces, chop an onion and celery. Throw it into the pot w/some cream of celery soup, a 1/2 cup of water, salt, papper and basil. Let it cook all day and make some fun pasta. Mix it together, add a salad and warm bread.
I also used to make a killer tuna "casserole" in the pot. 1 big can of tuna, chop some onion and celery, add a can of condensed cheddar cheese soup, 2 TBL of butter, 2 TBL flour, 3/4 cup of milk. STir it up, let'er cook all day. When you get home cook some noodles and add them in. I used to like to add a pint of sour cream to it.
Nothing low fat/cal but delicious and usuallt leftovers to use or freeze. K
