Ingrid, I'm glad summer is finally here for you - I remember reading your message as I'm in a part of the United States that is very hot and humid, and I would have changed places with you in a second!
Your recipe sounds wonderful and I'll try it soon. We're lucky enough to be able to get fresh asparagus in our markets so I'll use that instead of canned asparagus. Do you think the salad will suffer if I omit the 10 drops of green tabasco sauce? I'm not big on hot tastes.
