Cindy,
I can't tell you exact measurements, but I usually cut all the fat off that I can, brown the pork shoulder in batches, add some water or beef broth lots of black pepper, lots of onions, and simmer on top of stove. Later in cooking time, I add potatoes. After it's finished cooking, I make gravy from the liquid it's been cooking in. This is a dish from childhoold that I still love. Pork Shoulder has good flavor to it.
