Strawberry Trifle
1 Angel food cake (purchased, of course) 1 pound frozen, sliced strawberries 2 3-oz. packages strawberry Jello Cool Whip or other whipped topping
Remove top from purchased Angel food cake (or use a clear glass trifle bowl). Tear the cake into approximate 1 inch cubes. Place a layer of cake in the cake cover, add a layer of strawberries. Continue until all cake and strawberries are used. Prepare Jello per package directions. Pour over layers and refrigerate until ready to serve, at least 2 hours. Add a layer of Cool Whip just before serving or serve on the side.
My sister made this in a plastic wrap lined loaf pan and "iced" it with Cool Whip. This made a beautiful presentation. We just sliced it like a cake. In the trifle dish, dish it out with a spoon. DELICIOUS!!
