Janice, I had a 40th wedding anniversary party for my parents, with a two week old baby and a two year old... I had to make ahead. Every appetizer in "Company's Coming for Christmas: Holiday Magic for Your Table" by Jean Pare, 1996 except one can be made ahead successfully without flavour or appearnce suffering.
