Hi Miranda.

I am thinking it would be fun if you decorate a sheet cake in the form of a Bustier. And, I would make the cake and frosting chocolate... lovely chocolate.

Use a rectangular cake pan and also make two cupcakes. After removing the cake from the pan, use a sharp knife to cut away part of the cake to make the "waist." Use your two cupcakes to form the bust. Frost your entire cake to give the basic form. Then use your cake decorating tips to add lace (your flower tips would work for that) and star tips to make embellishments as you wish. You could use a variety of colors in the frosting for the lace, etc. I like putting a thin strip of bright-colored frosting inside my piping tube before filling it with my basic color so that the ruffled edges have an accent color.

You could also use small candies or piping gel for jewels.

Let your imagination go wild and have fun!

Hope this helps. Kel

Oh, and here is one of my favorite chocolate cake recipes. There are many great tried-and-true cake receipes here in RecipeLink if you do not already have a favorite.

1 teaspoon vanilla

Frosting:
1 stick butter
4 heaping Tablespoons cocoa
6 to 8 Tablespoons milk

Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Ingredients must be mixed in proper order for best results.

Cake:
Sift flour, sugar, and salt together. Set aside.

In a saucepan, mix butter, Crisco, water, and cocoa. Heat until it almost boils. Pour over dry ingredients. Beat well by hand.

Add soda and buttermilk and beat gently only to mix.

Add eggs and vanilla last. Mix gently. Pour into 9x13-inch greased and floured pan.

Ten minutes into baking time, start to make frosting:
