I think a good idea would be to check out some garage sales in your area re prices. We moved from central NJ to another state about 3 years ago. You wouldn't believe the difference in prices! This is a smaller town and the prices are often HIGH! I'm amazed. Something I would buy in NJ area for $1 - 2 is priced $5 or even more! 2 weeks ago - I saw some stinky little cookbooklets (not even the collectable type) for $2.50 and more.

I've usually priced things at about 10% of what we paid for them if they're 'used'. Sometimes less. If in very good condition - I'll start out at %40 - 50. Leave room for haggling. But DO Price things. A lot of people don't like to wait around and ask - 'what do you want for that?'.

Good luck.
