Hey there! I boil the potatoes just until they are ready to be mashed, then drain them and put in your ricer. Add a couple tablespoons of milk and about 1/3 to 1/4 cup of fat-free ranch dressing!! They are wonderful--cuts back on the fat too! Also used for sweet potatoes for sweet potato casserole. Use it a couple times and you'll really like it!!
