I had two Dak machines and the only complaint I had was the round loaf they made. However,I rarely used it to bake the bread, only to mix and knead. Now I have a Zojirushi which I purchased mail order from King Arthur Flour. They offer two models, one with all the bells and whistles, and one not so fancy. The prices are $199.95 and $159.75 respectively. I have the lower price one and it really is a work horse. Only thing I don't like is the 20-minute preheating cycle before it will begin, other than that, I would highly recommend it. In Lora Brody's book "Plugged In" she even made mashed potatoes in ABM. I cannot see getting it out just to mash potatoes.
