I am from Columbus-a lifelong resident of the Buckeye state originally from Ironton. My uncle died and I asked for the chicken bucket because he had cooked chicken for my family in it. It is the 6 quart size. We think of him when we use it-and I wouldn't have been able to without the recipe you posted last year.

My Mom said when he cooked in it, he just rinsed the chicken and then, salt and peppered it, then dipped it in a preseason flour mix available in the store called Kentucky colonel frying mix or something.

I used your recipe and the family really liked it. I am anxious to try the fried fish one-wonder if it will be a little like the Long John Silver fish? I may ask for other recipes again if that would be okay. Thanks soooo much, Mary Beth
