CINNAMON NUT BUNS
1/4 cup plus 2 tablespoons packed brown sugar, divided use 3 tablespoons butter 2 tablespoons light corn syrup 1/3 cup chopped pecans almonds or walnuts 2 tablespoons brown sugar 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg 1 package refrigerated biscuits
In an 8x8x2-inch baking dish, combine the 1/4 cup brown sugar, butter, and corn syrup.
Microwave on 100% power (high) for 1 to 1 1/2 minutes or till butter is melted. Stir. Cook for about 1 minute more or till the mixture boils. Sprinkle in the nuts; set aside.
In a small mixing bowl, combine the remaining 2 tablespoons brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg; set aside.
Separate biscuits. Cut each biscuit into quarters. Arrange quarters atop the butter mixture in baking dish. Sprinkle the brown-sugar mixture over the biscuits.
Microwave at 70% power (medium-high) for 7 to 9 minutes or till done, turning dish once. Invert onto serving plate. Serve warm.
