HITACHI BREAD MACHINE DINNER ROLLS

2 cups bread flour
2 tablespoons sugar
2 tablespoons dry milk
4 tablespoons butter
1/2 egg
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup water
1 to 1 1/2 teaspoons dry yeast
1/2 egg, beaten (for brushing on top of rolls)

Place all ingredients in bread machine. When done kneading (buzzer buzzes), place the dough on a board and push it evenly to squeeze out gas. Divide into 12 balls. Cover with a damp towel and let rest for 20 minutes.

Roll each ball into a wedge shape. Starting with the widest side, roll up the wedge loosely towards the point.

Place on a greased baking pan with the point downwards. Spray lightly with water. Let rise until almost doubled in size (30-40 minutes).

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

Brush rolls with beaten egg.

Bake in 350 degree F oven for 10-15 minutes. Remove from baking pan, serve warm.

Makes 12 rolls
