Dear BBS...I don't think you need to do anything more than put your racks in the
bathtub with a good squirt of dish detergent or general purpose cleaner of
sorts, like, oh, maybe spic and span or something like that and forget about
them for a good day. If they are really grungy with baked on who knows what a
second day in fresh HOT water with detergent should make them much better, and
you shouldn't have to use the elbow grease you might not have to begin with. I
did my mother's racks like that and boy, did we save a lot of work. She never
thought she'd ever see the shine back but she sure did!! Needless to say, we
were pleased and will never clean them any other way. ,
