That's what I do when we camp for several days. Saves buying ice constantly at the campground, and as it thaws, gives the kids some nice cold water to drink, saving on the soda machine by the office. Then, all I have to do is usually buy one round, maybe two bags of ice for a long weekend! Keeps the cooler drier, too, without all the melting ice sloshing around the bottom of it!
