This recipe was printed in Newsday newspaper about 35-40 years ago! My mother clipped it out and made it often. I have since inherited her recipes. ENJOY!

COOKY'S STEAK PUB BANANA CAKE (BREAD)

1 cup light brown sugar
2 eggs
3/4 cup corn oil
1/2 cup sour cream
1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
1 tsp.baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. orange juice
1 cup mashed ripe banana
1/2 cup chopped walnuts
2 cups all-purpose flour

Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Lightly grease a 12 1/2 x 4 1/2 inch loaf pan.

Mix together sugar, eggs and oil. Add sour cream, cinnamon, baking soda, baking powder and orange juice. Stir until well blended.

Add mashed banana to the mixture. Add walnuts and flour and mix well. Pour batter into prepared pan.

Bake for 50 - 60 minutes.
