hello.
I just want to say that I am the baker at the Maine Diner. I'm the one who created the cookie dough recipe and I'm sorry to say that this is not the recipe I use at the diner. I can tell you that I am the only one that's ever made this recipe there and this recipe is not a Maine diner recipe. I apologize for whoever has tried this. I'm upset with whoever printed this as mine. If anyone is interested in the original recipe for this pie, please contact me at the Maine Diner in Wells, Maine.
Thanks,
Traci

Editor's note:
Thank you for posting Traci. Your pie must be very good! Our visitors have been trying to find a close facsimile for your pie based on the description by the person requesting the recipe. It's generous of you to offer the actual recipe to anyone that requests it in your diner! Since many of us never will make it to Maine in our lifetime we'd love it if you'd share it with us here. The recipe will serve as a great advertisement for your diner as it's passed around (I suggest adding your street address to any recipes you share whether in person or on the Net). If you choose not to we certainly understand - our apologize for any confusion. Happy Baking! Betsy
