Josette ~ I see the cake mix/flour post about which you are referring was posted by Sugar/spice. Sugar/spice (unfortunately) has not posted here on RecipeLink for a couple of years. I hope someone else can answer your question.
Note: When I did wedding cakes I always used separators with dowling between each layer so the upper layers are supported. Sugar/Spice was an excellent cook and a professional baker who specialized in fancy desserts. I am curious to know more about adding flour to a cake mix.
