CAPPUCCINO MOOLATTE

1 cup brewed coffee, cooled (can be leftover from earlier in the day)
1 cup French Vanilla ice cream (not low fat version)
1 cup crushed ice
1 1/2 teaspoons instant coffee granules (or more if you really like coffee flavour), divided

Put the brewed coffee, ice cream, and crushed ice in a large glass mug, stir well.

Add 1 teaspoon instant coffee granules, stir twice. There should be a foam on top by now, sprinkle the remaining 1/2 teaspoon coffee granules over the foam. If you wish, you can add whipped cream to the top before sprinkling with granules to make it look more like what Dairy Queen serves, but I don’t find it needs it (and I don’t need the extra calories). Serve immediately.

Without the whipped cream, this Moolatte has 268 calories, 4.2g protein, 14g fat, 33.6 carbohydrates. The Dairy Queen one has 490 calories, 7g protein, 18g fat, 68 carbohydrates--most of the extra comes from the whipped cream and the coffee syrup they use.

FOR MOCHA FLAVOUR:
Add 1 tablespoon chocolate syrup to the first mixture (more if you want), and drizzle some over the foam or whipped cream.

FOR CARAMEL FLAVOUR:
Add 1 tablespoon caramel sundae topping to the first mixture (more if you want), and drizzle some over the foam or whipped cream.
