I also enjoyed Cupids Chili Hotdogs when I lived in the San fernando Valley over ten years ago. The owner once confided that the chilli was mostly made with carrots, but he would not divulge anything else. The EX-SF guy, John's, ingreditents do include carrots at least... he may be onto something. Hopefully someone will figure it out... soon.
