I actually used to work for Houstons many years ago and this recipe is pretty close. However, you need to first add about one cup of champagne vinegar and then add the ginger but it needs to be powdered ginger and then the same amount of powdered garlic and mix that. Then you can follow the rest of the recipe, however only use pineapple juice and not pieces of pineapple. Also, Houstons lets this marinade for a minimum of 72 hours. 24 hours is way too soon.
