CHICKEN TOSCANA SOUP (like Macaroni Grill)
My sister and I had this soup at Macaroni Grill on Saturday and we couldn't stop thinking about it. The menu described it as having garlic parmesan gnocchi which I could not find so I seasoned mine before adding it to the pot. I also used large pieces of chicken for my teenage boys. I hope this helps any one else craving this wonderful soup.
1 Deli rotisseri chicken torn in large pieces 1 8oz pkg potato gnocchi 1/2pt heavy cream 2 14oz cans chicken broth 1 box Lipton Cream of Chicken soup 1 cube chicken bouillon 1 tsp Herbs De Provence 1 medium tomato chopped 1 cup fresh spinach garlic powder grated parmesan cheese dried Italian seasoning
Add chicken broth to large pot and start to simmer add all four envelopes of Lipton soup mix to the broth. Next add the chicken bouillon and the Herbs De Provence, simmer for about 5 min. Add the chicken. cook 5 more min. Season gnocci with garlic powder and parmesan and add to pot cooked additional 2 min. Last stir in the cream. Garnish each bowl with chopped tomato, spinach, parmesan cheese and Italian seasoning.
