It's funny that I came across your Q. I have some mantecaditos with me right now. Every time a family member come to visit me (from PR) they bring me something from Carla's Sweets, seeing as my name is Carla too. The only help I can give is the ingredients list straight from the package tag. In order it is; flour, vegetable shortening, sugar, salt. No almonds listed so I wouldn't include them.
