Just want to thank you for this old post. I fell in love with the original and find that this tastes IDENTICAL! I made it for my mother-in-law for a holiday dinner in 2007 and she STILL requests it :)

I HIGHLY recommend this recipe to anyone who want to recreate the Carnegie Deli experience or just want that perfect NY cheesecake style. The directions are precise and easy to follow. If you follow them to the letter you will have GREAT success! I have found similar recipie on the Carnegie deli site but they don't provide EXACT times for the different stages.

We drizzled caramel and topped it with some caramelized almonds to pump up the fun factor.
