ISO: Custard-like Bread Pudding

Misc.
On a trip to Morgan City La, we ate at Rita Mae's Kitchen, and had the best custard like bread pudding. Could have had coconut and can milk and maybe coconut milk. It was the best thing I have ever eaten. The texture was smooth custard but firmer than pie. Please help me out. If you are ever in there ask for it. She serves several different kinds.
