I always prefer the traditional Margarita (is it Margarita Soames?) but I recognize that my taste is quite traditional and that I look with amusement at the new drinks created with us, ladies, in mind. Too much sugar for my taste and well being.

Here is a recipe for a Blackberry Margarita that might provide some inspiration to Karen for creating a Wild Berry version.

BLACKBERRY MARGARITA

servings 1

1 ounce white Tequila
1 ounce Triple Sec
1 ounce fresh lime juice
1 ounce blackberry liqueur.

Fill a cocktail shaker three quarters full with ice. Add all the ingredients, cover and shake well. Strain into a small cocktail glass with fresh crushed ice. Before making the drink, wet the edge of the glass with lime juice and then dip it in coarse salt. Fill with ice and prepare the drink. Salud!
