Recipe(tried): Apple Cobbler

Desserts - Fruit
that sounds good! I copied it....also copied the pecan bars & the F.P. Dough, which I am definitely excited about trying out!!
I made a cobbler which came right off the tag on the deep dish pan I bought...it actually was pretty good & my 2 boys had it, still mighty warm, w/chocolate chip ice cream!!

apple cobbler

4 c sliced apples (I used about 6 cups of Empire)
1/2 c sugar
1/2 tsp cinnamon (Penzey's..outrageous!!)
1/2 c chopped pecans
1 c flour
1 c sugar
1 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
1 egg, beaten
1/2 c evap. milk (I had the skim)
1/3 c butter, melted
1/4 c chopped pecans (I didn't use)

Again, this was for the deep dish pan so maybe the 4c of apples would be fine in a regular pie plate, but I kept adding! preheat 325 degrees.
Butter a pan very well. layer in the apples (I just threw them in).
Combine sugar, cinnamon & pecans & sprinkle on the apples.
Combine flour, sugar, baking powder & salt in medium bowl & add to it, the egg, butter & condensed milk. Stir it well & then pour over the apples.
Bake 55 min. (I gave it a little longer till the top had a more browned look to it)
It was really good!!
