Micha, I'm not too good at rolling dough yet, must have a heavy hand! but I don't think they were any thicker than 1/4"...and my griddle is a lil thing that sits on top of the gas, so I used the pancake trick....when I put a drop of water on & it jumped I laid the muffins in..gave them about 5 or 6 min then flipped them...I tried to get them to the golden brownish stage & flattened them a bit with the spatula...the good thing is that they'll cook more when you toast them so if they're a little undercooked, I'd say that's ok!
I'll post my fantastic orange poundcake recipe...it's easy & sooo good!! meg
