We ate this tonight and it was marvelous. The best burger I have tasted in a long time.

From the Weber BBQ Newsletter

1 pound ground beef, made into (4) 1/2 inch thick burgers
4 slices mozzarella cheese
1/4 cup prepared store-bought pesto sauce (or homemade)
4 slices tomato
4 bulkie rolls, the bigger the better
salt and pepper, to taste

Prepare barbecue grill medium-high heat. When charcoal is covered with ashes, put burgers on and cook for 8-10 minutes (turn once at the half point). Cook until medium-rare. When cooked, put on bun (toast buns with burgers if you have the room on the grill). Cover with a slice of cheese, some pesto sauce and a slice of tomato. Cover. Serve with roasted potatoes (as I did) and some corn-on-the-cob. Yummy!!!!

If you love pesto and tomatoes you will love these burgers.

I also put a couple of fresh basil leaves on top of the tomato before I closed the burger.

Try it, you'll love it!!
