Janet, I just cut this recipe out of the paper today. Pork tenderloins are on sale in our area. Haven't had time to try it yet, but it sounds good. * * * * * Grilled Five Spice Pork Tenderloin Prep time: 5 minutes Marinate time: 2 to 24 hours Cook time: 30 minutes 2 pork tenderloins, about 3/4 lb each 1 1/2 tsp Chinese Five Spice Powder 1/4 cup soy sauce 1/4 cup dry sherry 1/4 cup honey 2 T minced fresh ginger 2 cloves garlic, minced * * * * * Rinse pork and pat dry. Sprinkle Five Spice Powder evenly over pork and rub into meat. Combine remaining ingredients in a resealable bag. Add pork to bag, seal and place in refrigerator to marinate for 2 to 24 hours. * * * * * When ready to cook, place pork on a lightly oiled grill over medium low coals. Cook for 25 to 30 minutes, turning and basting with marinade frequently until pork reaches an internal temperature of 160* F. Remove from grill and let stand 5 minutes before slicing. Makes about 6 servings. |
