Sorry not to meet your deadline, but I just discovered this message board today.
I have a recipe for preserved lemons, but they have to be cut in quarters, which I don't think is what you want.
Since you don't plan on eating the contents of the bottle(s), why not just pack whatever you like into the bottles, cover them with cider vinegar, and seal with wax?
If you decide you want the preserved lemon recipe, just let me know!
