Recipe(tried): Tina, Here is another easy
Misc. but wonderful cake using a cho. cake mix and it is another of those cakes which is very hard to resist a second peice, Very rich chocolate with a fudge like icing. My daughter in law calls it dangerously good. I don't think I've seen it posted on these boards but It could be Anyway Here is the recipe.
Cherry Chocolate cake
3 eggs
1 - 2 layer chocolate mix ( with pudding in the mix )
1 - 20 oz. can cherry pie filling
1 tsp. almond extract
1 cup sugar
5 Tbls. margarine
1/3 cup milk
1 - 6 oz. package cho. chips
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Beat eggs in large mixing bowl, add cake mix , mix well. Fold in cherry pie filling and almond extract. Pour into 9 x 13 pan and bake for 35 - 40 minutes. Combine sugar, margerine and milk in sauce pan. Bring to a boil over med heat, boil 1 minute remove from heat and add chocolate chips beat till creamy. Punch holes in hot cake Pour mixture over cake Enjoy
