I purchased our Blue Ribbon Bakeware Lamb Cake mold back in 1963 in a small neighborhood hardware store in South Chicago. Just recently I came across the recipe flyer that originally came with the mold and noted I wrote on the flyer the year it was purchased. There are slight difference in the measurements from the other two posted, but the basic instructions are the same. We found that we can use the Dromedary Pound Cake Mix and it also makes a very good cake. Much better than we can buy in our local bakery or super market where they are chargeing $17.00!
At the bottom of my flyer is states, "These are hard strong aluminum molds made by a special process so that they won't pit, stick or discolor. With ordinary care they will last for years and years." Forty-five years we have been using our mold and it looks as if we bought it last week!
