ISO: Easy New Year's ideas or recipes for both a vegetarian and non-vegetarian

Misc.
I am having a dilly of a time trying to put something fun together for
New Year's eve and day that will be no time in the kitchen and suitable
for both non-vegetarian and vegetarian.
I'm also interested in vigin drink ideas that will be fun to make.
