I have been miserable since Betty Crocker took the Date Bars off the market. I keep looking for the recipe, but none of them mention coconut. And BC's definately had coconut, just like Glenda from Boise mentioned. Is there anybody out there that has a Date Bar recipe with coconut? It would be in the top/bottom crust. And last but not least, those folks at Betty Crocker are just plain cruel to us that love and daydream of the best dessert EVER. :o)
