Hi Bill, Would like to share with you some family holiday favorites. The really complicated ones are made by my Mom and Aunts. These I find so easy,delicious and are the childrens favorite. Enjoy and Happy Holidays!
MARIE'S RICE PUDDING Ingredients: 1/2 Gal. Whole Milk 1 Cup Regular Rice 3/4 Cup Sugar 4 Scoops Vanilla Ice Cream 1 TBS.Vanilla Cook Milk, Rice and Sugar on top of stove until thick. Take off heat. Add Ice Cream until melted. Add Vanilla. Cool and Chill. Serves 6 (can be made the day before)
APPLE CRISP Ingredients: 4 Cups sliced apples 3/4 Cup packed Brown Sugar 1/2 Cup Flour 1/2 Cup Old Fashioned or Quick Oats 1/3 cup Butter softened 3/4 tsp. Cinnamon 3/4 tsp.Nutmeg Heat oven to 375o. Grease bottom and sides of 8x8x2 square pan. Arrange apples in pan. Mix remaining ingredients together. Sprinkle over apples. Bake about 30 minutes or until topping is golden brown and apples are tender. Serve warm and if desired top with cream or Ice Cream. Serves 6
