Strawberry Spinach Salad (with grapes, onion, bean sprouts, and bacon) rec.food.cooking/Sheri K. Thomasson (1995) Serves 6-8
1 pound fresh spinach 1/2 pound strawberries, sliced 1/2 pound grapes, halved 1 medium onion, sliced thin 1/4 pound fresh bean sprouts 1/4 cup real bacon bits 1 cup white wine vinegar 2 Tbsp sugar 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce.
Wash spinach thoroughly; drain and pat dry. Remove and discard any tough stems. Break into bite-size pieces; place in large salad bowl. Add strawberries, grapes, onion, sprouts, and bacon. In small bowl, stir together remaining ingredients. Pour over salad; toss. Serve immediately. |
