Easy Apple Torte

Here is an easy apple torte recipe that I like very much.

4 tbsp. soft butter
1 egg
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 cup sugar
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1 cup flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/8 tsp. salt
3 peeled and cored apples of your choice (cut into 1/8-inch slices)

Preheat oven to 350. Butter a 9-inch cake pan.

Cream together sugar and butter.

Add egg and beat until light and fluffy.

Sift flour, cinnamon, baking powder, baking soda, and salt together.

Mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients.

Stir in apple pieces.

Turn into pan and spread smoothly.

Bake for one hour and allow to cool for a few minutes and serve warm.
