Barbecued Meatballs

This is one of my favorites and is frequently requested for parties:

3 lbs. very lean ground beef
2 cups quick oats
2 eggs
1 (13 oz) can evaporated milk
4 Tbsp chopped onion
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp pepper
2 tsp salt

Mix all together and form into balls (will make 24 1 1/2-2 inch balls or scads of little party meatballs!) Place in 9x13 pan cover with sauce (recipe follows)

Sauce:
2 cups catsup
1/2 cup brown sugar
2 tbsp liquid smoke
2 tbsp chopped onion
1/2 tsp garlic powder

Mix all and pour over meatballs, Bake uncovered at 350 for 1 hour turning once. (If you like the sauce thicker on the meatballs don't turn)
