Vitamin-Rich Bread
Yield: 1 loaf

1 cup seedless raisins
1/2 cup white raisins
2 tsp. baking soda
1 Tbls. melted butter or margarine
1 1/2 cups orange juice or apple juice, heated
2 eggs
1 cup sugar
1 1/4 cups sifted flour
1/4 tsp. salt
2 cups bran flakes

Combine raisins, white raisins, baking soda, butter and heated juice in a bowl. Let stand for 10 minutes.

Beat eggs and sugar together well. Stir in flour and salt. Combine with raisin mixture and bran flakes, beat only till well blended.

Turn into greased 9-inch loaf pan and bake at 350 degrees for about 1 hour. Cool 5 minutes in pan before turning out onto rack. Store 24 hours for easier slicing.
