Rose Ice Cream

Based on Ben & Jerry's sweet cream base #2
Makes 1 quart

2 cups heavy/whipping cream
3/4 cup sugar
2/3 cup half and half
3 Tablespoons rosewater*
5 drops red food coloring

Whisk everything all together and freeze according to your ice cream freezer's instructions.

* Rosewater is available in middle eastern grocery stores, and often in exotic gourmet shops. You might want to play around with the amount of rosewater in the recipe; this quantity seems to make a fairly mild-flavored version.
