Cheddar-Parmesan Cheese Bread
2 cups all-purpose flour 1 Tab. sugar 1 Tab. baking powder 1/2 tea. salt 1 tea. dry mustard 1/4 cup butter 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese 2 Tab. parmesan cheese 1 cup milk 1 egg 1/2 cup finely chopped onions 1 tsp Paprika Preheat oven to 350F. Grease a 9 x 5 baking pan. Combine flour, sugar, baking powder, salt and mustard. Using a pastry blender, cut in butter until the mixture resembles coarse meal. Stir in the Parmesan and 1/2 cup of the cheddar cheese. Beat milk and egg until well blended. Add to flour mixture and mix with a fork until dry ingredients are moistened. Spoon batter into greased pan. Toss remaining ½ cup cheddar cheese with onion and paprika. Sprinkle on top of batter. Bake for 60 minutes. Cool in pan on a wire rack for 10 minutes before removing from pan.
