Snickers Cake
rec.food.cooking/Zzulie (1998)

This is absolutely the best, my whole family loves it. It also makes a nice picnic cake, it travels well because it doesn't have frosting on the top.

1 pkg. German Chocolate Cake Mix
1 pkg. Kraft Caramels
1 stick butter
1/3 cup milk
3/4 cup chocolate chips
1 cup chopped nuts

Mix cake according to the directions on the box. Pour 1/2 of the batter in a greased 9x13 pan. Bake 20 minutes at 350. Melt caramels with butter and milk; pour over baked cake. Sprinkle with chocolate chips and nuts. Pour remaining cake batter over this. Bake at 250 for 20 minutes then at 350 for 10 minutes. Needs no icing.
