Southern Cornbread

1 cup self rising cornmeal mix
1 cup buttermilk
1 Tablespoon sugar
2 eggs

Mix well and have 3 T oil heating in iron skillet. Pour most of hot oil in mixture. Bake for about 13 minutes in 450 degree oven. This has won numerous blue ribbons at the state fair.
