Cranberry Relish (with Orange Juice and Bourbon)
rec.crafts.textiles.quilting/Phyllis Andersen (1998)

Here is my grandmother's recipe for:

1 bag of cranberries, washed and stems removed
1 cup sugar
1/3 cup orange juice
1 cinnamon stick
2 tsp. orange jest (grated rind)
1/3 cup bourbon

Cook sugar and orange juice until syrup, about 3 minutes, stirring often.

Add cranberries, cinnamon sticks and grated zest. Cook, stirring occasionally, until berries pop, about 5-7 minutes. Cool slightly. Add bourbon. Refrigerate.

This can be made a week ahead.
